How Reel Order works

Every day, Reel Order shows six frames from one movie, shuffled out of sequence. Drag them into the order they appear in the film. Submit your guess and the frames in the right spot lock in place. You get a limited number of guesses to lock all six.

Think like an editor. Look at wardrobe changes, dirt and damage that build up, time of day, who's in the room, and what has to happen before something else can. Often one frame can only be first or last. Start there.

Puzzles come from across film history: new releases, cult comedies, animated favorites and classics. Reel Order never repeats a movie. Missed a day? Every past puzzle is in the archive, with notes on the film, its look and how it was made. New to the game? Read How to Play.

Can I play a puzzle I missed?
Yes. Every past puzzle is in the archive.
Does the same movie ever come back?
No. Each puzzle is a different film.
Is my progress saved?
In your browser, on your device. There is no account to make. The privacy page explains exactly what is stored and what is sent.
Where do the frames come from?
They are real stills from each film, used for commentary and as puzzle material.
